Head of Enterprise Applications

Who We Are Looking For:

We are currently recruiting a Head of Enterprise Applications on permanent basis located at our Head Office in Aberdeen. You will work across KCAD managing the delivery of a portfolio of business critical systems (predominantly SAP and SharePoint) including day to day operational support, small changes and complex multi-disciplined projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring the business systems meet agreed service levels and support the day to day business processes and operations
  • Manage the delivery of business demand from the applications Team, working closely with KCAD divisions, leadership and process owners
  • Work with the users, to assess the technical and functional fit of SAP and SharePoint applications to the business
  • Manage and run the Applications Design Authority process
  • Work with Procurement to negotiate with 3rd party Vendors for the provision of project and ad-hoc resources
  • Drive the continuous improvement/development of technical solutions at KCAD to improve processes and efficiency across the company
  • Manage and support the members of their team to enable them to be able to achieve their potential in their role
  • Manage the delivery of business critical systems and ensure they meet strict security and authorisations requirements
  • Planning, co-ordination and execution of all Enterprise Applications projects as agreed with the business
  • Manage business priorities and conflicts across support and development activities
  • Manage key stakeholders across the business
  • Develop and own short, medium and long term plans for the ongoing development and enhancement of business systems
  • Staff and skills planning and management
  • Ongoing planning and management of departmental budgets

Key Skills & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educated to a degree level

Experience:

  • Senior Management/Director in a similar role
  • Experience of running teams and delivering large scale SAP programmes and projects
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders and being able to build strong relationships

Job Specific Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communications skills, able to inspire confidence and deliver a compelling vision
  • Have the ability to build effective working relationships, influence at all levels and communicate effectively to different levels of management throughout the business
  • Deep experience of one or more SAP module
  • Ability to learn quickly and identify opportunities both internal and external to better support the business from an IT perspective
  • Be self-motivated, able to deliver under deadlines and multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Be highly organised and resilient with an eye for detail and strong analytical skills
