Key details about the role and the candidate 

The Training Co-ordinator will report into the Senior Training Advisor. In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating all Training & Competence requirements for the North Sea, including UK North Sea base personnel in line with worldwide standards, policies and procedures. 

 

You and the role 

The successful candidate will be required to plan and organise own workload in conjunction with the workload from the Training Manager / Training Advisor, plan and coordinate Training internal & external courses for all offshore crews as per Client approved training Matrix. The candidate will be involved in co-ordinating internal training courses onshore. The candidate will also be involved with admin administration for both Training & Competence. candidate must have an open positive attitude, be able to work within a small team and be able to build good working relationships with the Rig Manager /offshore crew members.

 

Primary responsibilities 

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Group Management System Procedures.
  • Maintain all training & Competence records on the training data base (TMT) including updating certificates received from new starts, logging and distributing certificates received from course attendance (onshore and offshore)
  • Co-ordinate training courses in relation to training matrix, training request forms, Adhoc Requests as per clients request and expiry report.
  • Co-ordinate in house training courses related to designated area
  • Liaise with training schools regarding bookings for personnel attending courses.
  • Liaise with personnel booked on courses, providing details of the course, arranging any accommodation and travel, as required.
  • Administration related duties as required for both Training & Competence.
  • Produce monthly training reports detailing percentage completion against training matrix, courses expiring, training outstanding, competence complete and distribute accordingly.
  • Produce monthly training payroll reports for the payroll department.
  • Produce adhoc reports relating to training and competence issues as required
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions within purchasing system, as requested and process associated training invoices through SAP
  • Maintain security for all database records and adhere to conditions stated in the Data Protection Act with regards to delegate’s information
  • Perform other duties as requested and within their capabilities. 

Experience 

  • Understanding of Microsoft packages including SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Training booking and coordinating with External training providers
  • Ability to prioritise training requirements as per training matrix
  • Proven experience in a training department within oil & gas Industry
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages including SharePoint
  • Understanding of the industry and the roles onshore and offshore
