Key details about the role and the candidate

About the role

As a Structural Engineer, you prepare structural calculations and strength verifications for steel structures, ensuring compliance with norms and standards. You collaborate with designers on structural issues during the design phase and on construction sites. Your role includes timely and cost-efficient preparation of designs and documents, technical support for suppliers and in-house production, and implementing standardizations and process optimizations for cost-effective product development.

 

Primary responsibilities

  • Preparation of static calculations and strength verifications for steel structures
  • Review of external statics to ensure compliance with all relevant norms and standards
  • Close cooperation with designers and support with static issues during the design phase as well as on construction sites
  • Timely and cost-efficient creation of designs and related documents
  • Technical support for suppliers and in-house production in the construction and testing of drilling rig components and equipment
  • Implementation and co-design of standardizations as well as process optimizations for the cost-optimized further development of products and components

 

Qualifications

  • Completed studies in the field of civil engineering, ideally with a focus on structural engineering/structural design or a comparable field of study​
  • Experience in the use of design software (e.g. R-STAB, F-FEM) and in the use of the CAD system HICAD​
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant regulations and standards​
  • Basic commercial knowledge to support business processes​
  • Strong team and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and partners​
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills to successfully support international projects​
  • Willingness to travel domestically and abroad​
  • Confident handling of common software products (MS Office applications, SAP)
