You and the role

The Senior Manager – ERP Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership, stability, and evolution of enterprise ERP platforms, primarily Oracle and SAP. This role owns the ERP roadmap, drives cross-functional delivery, ensures operational excellence, and acts as a trusted partner to Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and IT leadership.

The role balances hands-on governance with business-level stakeholder management, ensuring ERP platforms support business growth, compliance, and digital transformation.

 

Primary responsibilities 

ERP Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own the ERP application strategy and multi-year roadmap for Oracle and SAP platforms
  • Lead ERP modernization initiatives like cloud migration, upgrades, integrations, and process optimization
  • Ensure ERP solutions align with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technology standards

 

Program & Delivery Management

  • Oversee large-scale ERP programs including implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and acquisitions
  • Manage dependencies across Oracle and SAP landscapes and related systems (EPM, HCM, SCM, BI)
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable business outcomes

 

Operational Excellence

  • Own ERP production stability, availability, performance, and incident management
  • Establish and enforce ITIL-based service management, SLAs, and KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and automation

 

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary ERP liaison for Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, and Executive Leadership
  • Translating business requirements into scalable ERP solutions
  • Influence decision-making at the VP and C-suite level with clear data and recommendations

 

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage system integrators, AMS providers, and software vendors
  • Own ERP budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Ensure vendor accountability and value realization

 

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish ERP governance models covering security, controls, data integrity, and change management
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, and data privacy standards
  • Oversee role design, access controls, and segregation of duties

 

People Leadership

  • Lead and mentor ERP managers, architects, and functional leads
  • Build high-performing teams across internal staff and partners
